Many organizations spend most of their time "fighting fires" in the workplace. Their time is spent realizing and reacting to problems. For these, and probably for many of us, it can be very difficult to stand back and take a hard look at what we want to accomplish and how we want to accomplish it. We are too busy doing what we think is making progress. However, one of the major differences between new and experienced managers is the skill to see the broad perspective, to take the long view on what we want to do and how we're going to do it. One of the best ways to develop this skill is through ongoing experience in strategic planning.

At the end of our Strategic Planning Workshop you will walk away with:
  • Validated Plan (with adjustments if/where needed)

  • United and focused team-approach on advancing plan

  • Additional resource skills to manage business and execute plan

Our Strategic Planning Workshop consists of:

  • Presentation from Facilitator on value of strategic planning (why are we doing this, why we can’t afford not to).

  • Short Individual Presentations by participants (pre-workshop homework)

    • Representatives for each strategic plan element will begin each session with a 10 minute presentation of the accomplishments to date, challenges being faced, conclusions and recommendations.

    • Facilitated Group Discussions

      • Following each presentation the Facilitator will ask specific questions, followed by a group discussion.

    • Management Resource Skills will be included in discussion.

    • Individual and Group Work sessions may be included.
